2008 B'Kara Triathlon Series

The Birkirkara St. Joseph Triathlon Series, now in its eighth edition, gets underway on Sunday, 15th June at Salina starting at 7.00 a.m. This series consists of four races on the sprint distances of a 750 metre swim, a 20 kilometre cycle and a 5 kilometre run. The Series is organised under the auspices of the Malta Triathlon Association and carries ranking points for the Association’s final classification. The other three races will be held on the 6th July, 31st August and 28th September.

Last year’s series winners Keith Galea and Danica Spiteri start again as favourites to retain their titles, although both triathletes should expect stiff competition from their respective rivals.

During the race the Salina-Bahar ic-Caghaq Coast Road will be closed for traffic between 6.45 a.m. and 8.45 a.m.
